Jakarta (ANTARA) - Sebuah lagu natal klasik tahun 1950 berjudul "Man with the Bag" dibawakan ulang oleh penyanyi-penulis lagu asal Inggris Jessica Cornish alias Jessie J pada tahun 2015 untuk iklan pengecer kesehatan dan kecantikan, Boots.
Iklan tersebut mengapresiasi para wanita yang bekerja selama natal, termasuk paramedis, pemadam kebakaran, relawan, perawat, dan pengasuh yang semuanya "mengorbankan hari natal mereka untuk mendukung masyarakat".
Lagu itu bercerita tentang Santa Claus, yang disebut sebagai "pria dengan tas".
Lirik lagunya mengungkapkan antisipasi setiap orang yang menanti penuh semangat kedatangan Santa dengan tasnya yang dipenuhi dengan hadiah natal.
Pada 2018, Jessie J memasukkan lagu "Man with the Bag" dalam daftar trek album natal pertamanya yang bertajuk "This Christmas Day".
Lagu "Man with the Bag" oleh Jessie J ditulis oleh Dudley Brooks, Irving Taylor dan Harold Solomon "Stanley" serta direkam dan dirilis melalui Capitol Records pada 1950 oleh istri Stanley saat itu, Katherine Laverne Starks yang dikenal sebagai penyanyi jaz Amerika Serikat terkenal pada masanya, Kay Starr.
